The Hunstville Times today reports that Alabama A&M University Trustee Andre Taylor has been named to the 23-person advisory committee that will recommend the next president of the University of Alabama.
The UA System today announced a 23-member presidential search advisory committee to screen candidates to fill the vacancy in Tuscaloosa created when Robert Witt was named chancellor of the UA System last month following the retirement of Malcolm Portera.
Andre Taylor, a member of the Alabama A&M board of trustees, is one of the 23 committee members. Taylor was appointed to the board by former Gov. Bob Riley in 2010.
