Alabama State Board Approves Contract for New President Joseph Silver

The Alabama State University Board of Trustees yesterday approved a four-year contract for new president Joseph Silver, who will take the helm at ASU on September 17. Dr. Silver, current provost at Clark Atlanta University, will make $325,000 per year.
“I feel great that this is the person to take us to the level where we have never been before,” said (ASU Board of Trustees Chair Elton) Dean, who is also president of the Montgomery County Commission.
