Alcorn State Announces Finalists for Football Coach Position, Coach to be Named Next Saturday

Alcorn State University yesterday announced Michael Armour, Frederick Farrier, James Hopson and Todd McDaniel as the four finalists for its vacant head football coach position. The next head coach of the Braves program will be named after next Saturday’s spring game.
Armour is currently serving as the Offensive Coordinator at the University of Northern Colorado. He served as a part of the Alcorn Football Staff during 2008 to early 2011.
Farrier is presently employed with the State of Kentucky in the Office of Employment and Training. He also served as the Head Football Coach at Kentucky State from 2005-2009.
Hopson presently serves as the Defensive Coordinator at the University of Memphis.
McDaniel is the current Coordinator of Football Operations at Alcorn State University. Last season, McDaniel served as the Defensive Line Coach with the Braves Football Program.
The announcement came just hours before Alcorn was named the 2012 HBCU of the Year at the annual HBCU Awards presented by the Center for HBCU Media Advocacy, Inc.[/mpoverlay]
