Cheyney University yesterday announced Ken Lockard as its new head football coach. Lockard last year served as interim head coach for the Wolves, and has been with the school since 2008 as defensive coordinator.
Lockard served on a number of important roles in the Department to assist in the University’s reinstatement of the NCAA rights and privileges. He was the researcher on the President’s Task Force that completed the NCAA mandated Institutional Self Study Guide; he served on the Compliance and Academic Committee and completed his first year as Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) Co-Advisor. To date, the group has raised the most money in the Department for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
