City Water Main Break Forces Jackson State Students, Employees Off Campus

Jackson State University recently announced the cancellation of classes and encouraged students and employees to vacate campus for the weekend due to a water main break in Jackson. The break, which reduced water pressure throughout the campus, canceled classes through the weekend. From the release:
All students and employees are encouraged to vacate the campus for the weekend to minimize campus water needs. Students who can’t leave campus will be accommodated. By 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, portable toilets will be available at residence halls, athletic facilities and at the campus Department of Public Safety.
All classes, events and campus activities scheduled through Sunday, Feb. 19, are to be canceled. Please monitor the university’s website, mobile app and social media sites for updates.
