DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance Established

Alumni from HBCUs nationwide living in the Washington-Metropolitan area recently celebrated the incorporation of the DC-Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance.
The DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance, Inc. (DCHBCUAA) is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting Historically Black Colleges & Universities’ Alumni chapters in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The group encourages philanthropic support, community unity, collaboration and involvement, while promoting higher awareness of HBCU opportunities among underprivileged minority high school students interested in attending a black college.
The DC Alliance joins similar groups in Atlanta, Birmingham, South Florida, Northern California. Listen to an interview with leadership from the DC and Atlanta Alliances from a recent episode of HBCU Digest Radio.
