The contract, retroactive to an original verbal agreement with GSU in March 2011, also contains performance-based, non-recurring salary escalators, which the Grambling State Foundation has agreed to subsidize up to $100,000 annually.
The bonuses include:

» $5,000 nonrecurring salary increase for winning the Port City Classic
» $5,000 nonrecurring salary increase for winning the State Fair Classic
» $10,000 nonrecurring salary increase if his team wins the SWAC Western Division
» $15,000 nonrecurring salary increase if his team wins the SWAC championship
» $10,000 nonrecurring salary increase if at the end of the football season, he guides the team to a top-10 ranking in the FCS polls
» $15,000 nonrecurring salary increase if he is named as the Black College National Coach of the Year
