Triangle HBCU Annual Alumni Coed Softball Tournament

The tournament will be held on May 18, 2013 at Parrish Womble Park, 1201 Grigsby Ave., Holly Springs, NC. This tournament started eleven years ago with two local HBCU alumni chapters (NC A&T State University and North Carolina Central University) and grew to include ten HBCU alumni chapters in 2012.
In addition to NC A&T State University and North Carolina Central University, the other chapters that participated in 2012 were Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University, Hampton University, Shaw University, St. Augustine’s University, Tuskegee University, and Winston-Salem State University.
The tournament’s mission is to provide an environment for local HBCU alumni chapters to come together for fellowship, increase awareness and knowledge for HBCU’s in the community, raise money for scholarships, and have fun.
In order to promote this event in the community, we ask that you share this information with your membership. I have attached a flyer for distribution. This will be an excellent opportunity to bring out youth and other community groups to see and hear about our HBCUs and make this a fun filled day in the park. Food vendors will be on site, so lunch can be purchased at the park. Please share this information with your membership.
If you have any questions about this event, please contact us via e-mail at tfcraddock@gmail.com or sharee04@gmail.com. We thank you in advance for your cooperation as we promote our HBCUs in the community, and look forward to seeing you on May 18th at Womble Park.
