FAMU Announces FUTURE as Halftime Headliner for First Home Game
Florida A&M University today announced its halftime lineup for the first home game of the season, with rapper FUTURE as the featured artist.
We are very excited about the 2012 football season and the talent we have seen in our team, said Derek Horne, FAMU athletics director. This is an exciting time for FAMU football, and the Athletics program has created an energetic and vibrant halftime production to give fans and supporters a spectacular experience. Having FUTURE perform at the first home game sets the tone of what fans can expect throughout the entire season.
FAMU also announced an Old School vs. New School DJ battle, featuring DJ Demp and DJ Neaux, with an appearance by FAMU alumnus and film producer Will Packer.
Maybe I’m too old to recognize FUTURE as a legit or popular artist, but if the kids and alums like, more power to the Rattlers. The Old School vs. New School component does sound like it could be interesting and sustainable, however.
