Students at Florida A&M University love their school. So much, that the popular rating website RateMyProfessor.com has revealed FAMU as the fifth-highest rated institution in the country based upon professor appeal and campus life.
“There’s no higher honor for teachers and schools than to be praised by students who are being impacted by their influence every day,” said Carlo DiMarco, senior vice president, Strategic Partnerships and Development, mtvU. “We extend our sincere congratulations to all of the professors, universities and junior colleges on our top lists.
According to RateMyProfessors.com—a site owned and operated by MTV’s college network, mtvU—student input makes this list different than typical college rankings by providing an “authentic overview of daily life at each respective school.”

@SarahPalinisGod:disqus This survey is not FAMU’s ONLY hint at glory. It’s just one more ranking about student life. A few of FAMU’s other accomplishments from this past year include: One of the top 10 historically black colleges and universities in the 2012 US News and World Report rankings; One of the 322 Greenest Universities by Princeton Review; and One of the Best Southeastern Colleges by Princeton Review. I have more if you need them.
FAMU is a failed institution whose only hint at glory comes from a survey sponsored by MTV. After the murder and corruption trials are over, and the 4 year graduation rate rises above 12%, then maybe – maybe – one can call this place a school. Until then it is a waste of space and tax dollars.
