Former Bethune-Cookman University standout guard CJ Reed has transferred to Georgia Southern University, where he will rejoin his father Clifford Reed, who now serves as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the school. CJ Reed led BCU to the 2011 regular season MEAC basketball championship and averaged 19 points and five assists per game.
CJ Reed transferred from BCU shortly after Clifford Reed was fired last June for “failure to cooperate and insubordination with respect to the university’s investigation into allegations against the university and its men’s basketball program,” according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
