Grambling Makes Room for Xavier Students During Isaac Evacuation

KTBS today reports that Grambling State University is readying dorms and supplies for students from Xavier University of Louisiana, who will evacuate to GSU during Hurricane Isaac. Grambling is a designated emergency station for the region, and is preparing for about 100 students to stay on campus during the storm.
Grambling staff is communicating with students from the New Orleans and southern Louisiana communities where their families might be affected and preparing students who may not have experienced such storms in their home cities and towns. The facilities and housing staffs are busy securing bunks, cots and water as well as checking emergency generators, purchasing plastic and nails.
