Hampton QB David Legree Signs With Kansas City Chiefs

Former Hampton University quarterback David Legree has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, the New York Daily News today reports.
Legree completed 61% of his passes during his senior season at Hampton, throwing 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. He averaged 7.1 yards per attempt while leading the Pirates to a 7-4 season.
Salvato said it is “definitely rare” to have a quarterback out of New York City sign an NFL contract. But Legree has the confidence of his old coach.
“I think he’ll be fine because he’s a student of the game,” Salvato said. “He has a great work ethic.” (NY Daily News)
