Howard U, the Mecca of black scholarship in the United States, is welcoming Gucci Mane to its homecoming festivities this weekend. Part of his appearance, the promotion of his new mixtape ‘Trap God.’

Used to be a time where you could rely on HBCU students to do two things. Scoff and mock mediocre rap artists, and angrily rant against the promotion of drug culture in black communities. Now, they’re paying thousands of dollars for the two-for-one Sambo special, promoted as part of their homecoming.
