Langston Students Raise $67K in Two Weeks Through Phone-A-Thon

A student-run telephone fundraising project geared to raise $50,000 for Langston University surpassed its mark, raising more than $60,000 in two weeks last month.
“We are very proud of the students for the hard work they put in while contacting the alumni,” said Joshua Busby, the university’s annual giving officer.
The 1897 Campaign, named for the year the university was founded, will be an annual fundraising initiative that runs from December to March. This year’s round of fundraising efforts marked the inaugural year for the campaign, Busby said. (The Oklahoman)[/mpoverlay]
