President Barack Obama will make a campaign stop at Norfolk State University on Sept. 4. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees must get tickets in advance.
HBCUs back on the president’s radar, just in time for election season. Let’s hope we can find a permanent place on that radar in a potential next term.

That is 850 million over 10 years and split between over 100 schools which actually only works out to be about $800,000 per school annually. The 850 is more than a little deceiving when broken down.
Well, he allocated 850 Million dollars to HBCUs during his first term,
along with designating an HBCU week and meeting with the heads of HBCUs
to strategize on how to keep our schools running and thriving.
So we have always been on his radar.
