Saint Augustine’s Earns 20 All-America Track & Field Honors

Saint Augustine’s College earned 20 All-America honors at the 2012 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
The Falcons were third among men’s teams with 15 awards and the Lady Falcons collected five honors. Josh Edmonds (Soph./Jacksonville, Fla.) and James Quarles (Soph./Washington, D.C.) led St. Aug with three honors apiece which tied for second-most in Division II. Edmonds won the 200 meter dash, placed second in the 400 dash and anchored the winning 4×400 relay team. Quarles helped the Falcons finish first in the 4×400 relay and third in the 4×100 relay in addition to finishing seventh in the 400.
The Falcons tied for third place among the men’s teams at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The Lady Falcons tied for 17th among the women’s teams.
