Shaw Earns 5th Seed in NCAA Tourney, Opens Against Indiana (Pa.)

Shaw will open its NCAA run on Saturday, March 10, when the Bears will take on Indiana PA in a regional hosted by West Liberty. The Bears, ranked fifth in the nation, will be making their second straight appearance in the Division II NCAA Tournament and second straight trip to West Liberty.
Shaw enters the Atlantic Regional as the second seed, while IUP is the seventh seed. The contest will be played at 2:30 on Friday.
The Bears finished the season 25-3 after a semifinal loss in the CIAA Tournament to Winston-Salem State. They had completed the CIAA regular season undefeated. Shaw is 7-2 on neutral courts so far this season.
