Stephen Joyner Jr. Named Johnson C. Smith Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Stephen Joyner Jr. returned home to Johnson C. Smith University today, as the university named him head women’s basketball coach at an afternoon press conference. Joyner rejoins his alma mater after two years leading Winston-Salem State’s women’s program to a 35-21 overall record.
“I am pleased to have Steve Joyner, Jr., join our Athletics staff as head women’s basketball coach,” said JCSU President Ronald L. Carter. “Steve brings solid coaching experience in women’s athletics. I look forward to his leadership as our women’s basketball team continues to excel at their growing edge.”
