One student is dead and another is in police custody as Maryland State Police continue the investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred last night at Bowie State University.

The victim is identified as Dominique T. Frazier, 18, who was a student at Bowie State University and resided on campus. She was from Washington, D.C.

The suspect is in Maryland State Police custody, but will not be identified until charges are filed against her. She is a 19-year-old student at Bowie State University and was a roommate of the deceased. She is from District Heights, Md.

Police have confirmed that this incident was isolated to one residential apartment on campus and the situation is contained. The campus of Bowie State University is safe and there is no continuing threat.
