Fayetteville State Director Elected Chair of HBCU Community Development Action Coalition

Fayetteville State University (FSU) Director of Government and Community Affairs, Emily M. Dickens, has been elected chairperson of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Community Development Action Coalition (HBCU CDAC).

HBCU CDAC is a national association that promotes, supports, and advocates for historically black colleges and minority serving institutions (MSIs), community development corporations (CDCs), and the community economic development industry whose work creates wealth, builds healthy and sustainable communities, and achieves lasting economic viability.  HBCU CDAC fulfills its mission of service to its members working in dis-invested urban and rural communities through education, resource development, advocacy, networking, and training.

As the Director of Government and Community Relations at Fayetteville State University, Mrs. Dickens serves as the campus liaison with the community, local, state, and federal government.   She also serves as the Executive Director of the Fayetteville State University Development Corporation.
