The Advocate today reports on the progress of Southern senior tailback Jerry Joseph, who suffered a torn meniscus earlier this week in practice but will attempt to play out his final season with the injury. From the Advocate:

Thoughts of this moment had kept him up late the night before, and the nerves were there waiting for him when he woke up. So when the drill came, he took a spot at the very back of the line, giving himself a few extra seconds of mental preparation.

“I went last, I watched everybody do it,” Joseph said. “I was nervous, and then I got up there and made the first cut. It was fine. Second cut, third cut, and I was like, ‘Well, I guess I’m good to go.’”
