With the discontinuation of GED test administration in some counties surrounding Nashville, Tennessee State University is looking to fill the void with negotiations to offer the examination in Dickson County, a key site for adults seeking the equivalency examination.

…with help from Hickman and Humphreys counties, local education officials are talking to TSU about locating a testing site in Dickson. If an agreement is reached, TSU officials would administer the GED test every other month at the adult education center, located at 220 McLemore Street in Dickson. TSU asks that 20 students take the test each time. Ten test-takers are required for it to be profitable.

“TSU has been wonderful about working this out with us,” Bradley said. “We are glad that we have some kind of solution at least in the works with (TSU). We will see how it goes when they come and visit my site. There is a need for it here.” (The Tennessean)
