Texas Southern to Introduce Darrell Asberry as Head Football Coach

Texas Southern University will today introduce Darrell Asberry as its new head football coach at 4 p.m. CST. Asberry will be the 15th head coach in TSU history, taking over for interim head coach Kevin Ramsey, who went 4-7 last season.
Asberry was the head coach at Division II Shaw University for the past five seasons, compiling a 40-25 overall record and a 30-13 mark in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. He captured conference championships in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
The former SWAC quarterback at Jackson State also served as offensive coordinator at North Carolina Central, Albany State and his alma mater, Jackson State. (The Sports Network)
