Texas Southern To Name Mike Davis Interim Men’s Basketball Coach

Texas Southern University today will announce former Indiana University and University of Alabama-Birmingham head basketball coach Mike Davis as its interim coach. Davis, who led the Indiana Hoosiers to the 2002 NCAA national championship game, replaces Tony Harvey, who resigned last month for personal reasons.
Davis has a career record of 257-151. The Tigers are the reigning regular season conference champions and appeared in the postseason N.I.T., their first NCAA tournament appearance in nine years.
