[mpoverlay]Two members of the South Carolina State University Board of Trustees resigned today, citing the board’s inability to right itself in the midst of controversy.

In a joint statement written to Governor Nikki Haley, Walter Johnson and Matthew Richardson said that the school deserves better than what the leadership is providing, and called for new members to be installed.
