Winston-Salem State University students Breanna Holmes and Iveon Sprangle recently won first prize in a national public service announcement competition presented by the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation and the Broadcast Education Association.
Holmes and Sprangle won the “best radio PSA” category from more than 200 entries from communications students around the country. The contest challenged students to develop a broadcast PSA sharing a personal value of the freedom of speech and how it benefits the world around them.
