Xernona Clayton, Randall Pinkett and Rev. Jamal-Harrison Bryant Announced as Alcorn State Commencement Speakers

Alcorn State University President M. Christopher Brown today announced the lineup of keynote speakers for the university’s annual commencement convocation and baccalaureate exercises. Well-known clergyman Rev. Jamal-Harrison Bryant will deliver the baccalaureate address on May 11, and media icon Xernona Clayton and business mogul Dr. Randall Pinkett will deliver keynote remarks at the ASU Commencement Convocation on May 12.
“We are pleased with our 141st Commencement speakers,” says President Brown of the well-known line-up. “Our graduates will definitely benefit from the words of wisdom they share.”
All individual school/department ceremonies will be held in the Oakland Memorial Chapel and are as follows: School of Business, Wednesday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m.; School of Nursing, Thursday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m.; and the Army ROTC Commissioning Ceremony, Friday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. Additionally, a recognition program is being planned for international students by the Office of Diversity and Equity Engagement.
