Drake State Presidential Retirement, Grant Management Under Federal Scrutiny

Officials with the National Science Foundation are examining the management of more than $500,000 in federal grant money given to historically black Drake State Technical and Community College, an inquiry which coincides with the controversial leave of absence and retirement of long-serving president Helen McAlpine.
