Savannah State Students Selected for Elite Naval Training Program

SAVANNAH – Two students from Savannah State University’s (SSU) Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) have been selected for advanced training in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear propulsion program. Kurt Lynn, senior mathematics major, and Austin Garvey, homeland security and emergency management graduate, successfully completed the intensive process. They are among only nine in SSU’s history to do so, and this is the first time SSU’s NROTC has had two in the same year.  (Savannah State University News)
