Trio of Southern Softball Student-Athletes Tops in NCAA

While the team has had an up and down season, winning 6 of 7 in conference after starting out losers of 7 of 8, three student-athletes have performed at a level that leads all Division I student-athletes statistically.

Not the SWAC. Not all HBCU. The NCAA.

Sophomore Kiara Suttles leads the NCAA in HR per game with 13 home runs in 27 games and leads in slugging pct. with .987.

Sophomore Sydney Andrews is 7th in batting average with a .478 average.

Senior Ambrelle Burton is 1st place in the toughest to strikeout category, one of three softball players in the country not to strikeout this season.
